New ideas for faster trains in Oregon
OSPIRG Executive Director Dave Rosenfeld recently served on the statewide Rail Funding Task Force. This group, which also includes business and government leaders from across the state, recommended several ways to fund Oregon’s rail system to state officials. State lawmakers are expected to begin debating these and other proposals starting in 2013.
